He’s a passionate scientist and teacher who has dedicated his career to both research and education. Are you ready to dive into his journey?
Jonathan’s love for science started with his undergraduate studies in Physics, where he explored the fascinating worlds of Solar Physics and Astrophysics. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Soil Physics, using gamma-ray techniques to understand soil properties.
Jonathan’s academic career was highlighted during his PhD at Imperial College London, focusing on High Energy Physics. He worked on some of the biggest questions about the universe, combining data from experiments like those at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, where he was a Visiting Scientist. His goal? To find new particles that could explain mysteries like Dark Matter. Along the way, he also became an expert in software development, data science, and big data.
In addition to his research career, Jonathan taught Physics applied to engineering at the Federal University of Technology in Brazil and later worked in the UK, helping employees from various industries learn about data analysis, business intelligence, and data science. He’s been a mentor, coach, instructor, and program lead, building and growing data programs focusing on real-world learning.
