Noor van Boven: Co-Founder of Invested, Making an Impact Through Leadership
Based on the Chaos Theory, small changes can have a significant impact. The goal of the Butterfly Effect Studio is to uncover how leaders and change makers developed their purpose, competencies, and community to have a positive impact. Each episode is packed full of ideas you can apply to your life.
In this conversation, Christian speaks to Noor van Boven. Noor is the Co-Founder of Invested and has been part of leadership teams of founder-led organizations throughout her career. As Chief People Officer at N26 and VP of People at SoundCloud, she has shown how to scale and sustainably evolve your organization during times of extreme growth and constant change. Noor is globally recognized for her track record in building high-performing teams.
Noor describes herself as being highly curious and always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. She also credits her healthy level of insecurity as a driver to do her best and figure out how to do things better. Additionally, Noor enjoys connecting with people and learning from their diverse perspectives.
Noor's purpose has evolved over time, and she realized that with everything she does, she wants to have a positive impact on someone. This led her to focus on underrepresented people and making sure they have access to equal opportunities. In her current role at Invested, she advises and invests in underrepresented Founders, giving them a bit of a kick starter and the network to set them up for success.
Regarding overcoming challenges, Noor acknowledges setbacks are common in any job. She believes it is important to have a support system in place and to be transparent about the challenges you are facing. She also recommends taking time for yourself to reflect on what you have learned from the experience and to focus on the positive aspects.
